Searched and couldn't find a single reference...planned an early dinner prior to theater at Gielgud . Any warnings or words of encouragement? Other reservations for London portion of trip are Maze ( business dinner), The Square , Alyn Williams and on our last night my favorite place in London , The Ledbury. I think that's good eating.....

You can read about Kettners here.

I think you could do better than Maze. It's just not the same without Jason Atherton at the helm, but if it's a business dinner and you're not paying, then what the heck.

I've only ever been to Kettners on works' functions, as it was our companies' go to place for company lunches.
Only had the set menus for large groups, but the food was good if a little uninspired and atmosphere was a little bit staid.

Maybe Quo Vardis on Dean St which isn't far from the Gielgud theatre may be a better option.

There's plenty more inspiring places for pre-theatre (hence the lack of posts about Kettners). I would suggest Arbutus or Les Deux Salons, both of which have excellent pre-theatre deals and Quo Vadis is also another great option.

I would def choose Les Deux Salons over Kettners. I thought Kettners was a bit boring for pre-theatre.
