Graham Cracker and Dates
In the 50's my Mama made a rich Holiday dessert. She ground up dates in a hand cranked grinder and mixed them with ground graham crackers. There were other ingredients that I can't remember. The results were thick and a little stiff. She rolled the mixture in a log shape ( 12 inches or so). Wrapped it in a "tea towel', Chilled it over night, sliced it and topped each serving with whipped cream. Very rich, sweet and exotic.
