Balsamic vinegar

I can't find the discussion about balsamic at TJ's. Is there even a way to look up certain items or topics?

Well, we don't have TJ's but since this is the chains forums I will say that I really like Costco's Kirkland brand balsamic.

Here it is http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/803867 . Just type your keywords in the search box at the top right of the page (near the red square with the magnifying glass).

PS: Don't mean to sound condescending by describing the red square, etc. I just tend to miss things myself sometimes without clear visual markers.

Thanks ninrn, how do you say that? I did try that red box and can't remember what happened, but it wasn't what I wanted to happen. I'm so with you on missing stuff, afraid of being condescending (thanks for that spelling) and wanting to be helpful. Awful ain't it.

I find it is easier to hunt down Chowhound topics using Google than the search here. Put the word chowhound first, then your keywords. For this topic I got many hits using - chowhound trader joe's balsamic

You know, you're right. Some threads just don't come up on the Chowhound internal search. Don't know why. Is it because they're too old?

Thank you too Calliope, what a great name and I can pronounce it! Why didn't I think of Google, I use it almost as much as wiki... boing (light bulb going off) I'll bet wiki has a lot to say about balsamic.

So, that was not the one I was looking for. We were talking about balsamic and somone recommended several that were very good but more expensive than TJ's. Places to look, etc.
I am having a hard time with this abbreviating of threads so that you have to guess from the tops of letters what the hell they are referring to. Any one know how to fix that?

"have to guess from the tops of letters" -- Does that mean that the bottom of the thread titles are cut off for you when the search results are displayed? That's never happened to me in any kind of search, but I remember it used to be a common problem for MSWord users a few years back. I don't know if that was a virus or what.

Are any of these the thread you mean? http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/380970

They came up with a search of "TJ balsamic vinegar"
