Juicy Kitchen (Ann Arbor)
Tiny, wonderful Juicy Kitchen has been up & running for a few months on Ann Arbor's far westside. If you like whole grain, fresh produce, and flavorful, then I highly recommend JK. Serves breakfast & lunch on site (seating for 15 or so), plus a refrigerator with an intriguing selection of take-home foods.
This week I brought home: cioppino (Italian fish soup, with real chunks of fish & shrimp), Pepper Pot (spicy vegetable melange, with farro-barley pilaf), and Dark Chocolate Mousse (vegan--but taste-wise, who knew!). I love their homemade baked goods, which use some whole wheat & quinoa, and not too sweet. Enjoy some "Crackly" banana bread or a baked doughnut, accompanied by coffee from local roaster Mighty Good.
Portions are not huge, but quality for the food is high.
