Austin brunch this weekend

I'm drawing a blank. My neice is being christened on Sunday and my Dad wants to go to Green Pastures; I would sooner eat in a correctional facility. I know about the Four Seasons and Fonda San Miguel but don't want to pay for the former and need something more ordinary than the latter. Any suggestions?

  1. I don't know how many people will be in your party but Chez Zee is good. Not a all you can eat brunch but an a la carte brunch. It is usually very busy on Sundays. I think they take reservations for brunch.

Also the Chron did a feature on weekend brunch in 2001

Also Stubb's gospel brunch (basic breakfast items and bbq) was good but nothing extraordinary. Great music though.

    hope this helps

Eastside has a nice brunch menu, and they take reservations. The atmosphere is very family-oriented, and the prices make it a great value. There are traditional, fancy, and Mexican selections. And you can order fron the dinner menu if you wish.

The decision is going to Granite Cafe. I'll report back after the weekend. Thanks for the input.

So how was the Granite Cafe? Also I see Gumbo's is doing a brunch now. I've heard good things about it but haven't gone yet.
