Based on experience down here, the battling egos of three physicians will probably overpower the front as well as the back.

Eat soon and often. Before the economics start to dictate.

And let's hope the physicians don't present the menu in their own handwriting. :)

I suppose I'll wait to see a full menu before passing judgement, but flatbreads, short ribs, and meatloaf doesnt exactly sound cutting edge or inspiring enough to drive to Port Washington. I do like the farm-to-table ideas though, and any business that supports Growing Power is OK with me.

"Planning the restaurant has been a lot of fun for all of us."

Oh, I am sure the planning has been a lot of fun for the physicians. But now they are going to learn just how "fun" it is going to be owning and trying to manage a restaurant.

The menu examples they gave are probably what they are most proud of and what they think will be home-runs. My guess is that just about any of us here could do each of those as good if not better at home. Short ribs, brats and meatloaf? I can make great versions of all of those at home with friends AND not have to be seated next to a bunch of drunk Port Washington townies.

Best of luck to them though.
