Takht-e Tavoos: Who's Been and Should I Go?

And most importantly, should I bring one of my many Persian friends?!

But seriously, missed the BlogTO mention April 11, but saw the Introducing: post on Toronto Life today. Also, the early Yelp review is pretty good and from a reputable (read, "Elite '13") source.

The reasons I ask are because it seems:
1) small (30 seats)
2) cheap
3) honest
All of which are things that flair my hidden gem alarm.

Also, eggplant spreads, feta and olives are sounding really good at this time in the afternoon.

  1. Considering the owners behind it (people behind Pomegranate for those that don't click through to the articles) I am pretty sure it will be good. It sounds like a "persian brunch" spot. A few friends who are persian really enjoy their other restaurants.

I don't know if you came across this blog post during your search but this person is here on CH as well so maybe they will come in and post some additional info:

I hope to get there in the next few weeks and I will report back but hopefully some other CHers have been before too

At first glance that looks like a HUGE brunch menu... but, reassuringly, it also includes lunchy dishes and stuff. I'm always wary of big menus.

It also looks like they explain everything well and is relatively inexpensive.
