Best place to buy wines from Friuli-Venezia-Giulia

CindyJ Apr 18, 2013 08:50 AM

I'm asking my daughter to pick up a few bottles of wine for me from the FVG region of Italy. I'm pretty sure she can get some good recommendations at EATALY. But is there somewhere else (midtown or below) where she ought to do my shopping? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with Italian Wine Merchants but I'll give a strong second to Astor. Nice selection, knowledgeable staff, good prices.

Astor: their web site lists 30 FVG selections. Many are Pinot Grigio, of course, but lots of other good things at all price points.

Thanks to everyone. Astor is right in her neighborhood, too.
