Any tips in Sagres?

British Chowhound here, about to take the family to the Martinhal near Sagres.

Are there any tips for where we could go for a lovely romantic meal while making use of the hotel's babysitting? A cosy local restaurant with an outside seating area would be ideal. We'll eat anything and everything. Just love food!

We won't have a car but happy to cab it for 20 mins or so.

Thanks so much in advance. I did search for Sagres on here and couldn't find anything, but I don't really know much about the area and other towns which might be nearby.

Mar a Vista in Sagres is rightly famous for fish and seafood, and has a terrace, but hardly romantic... Your best bet for romanticism is actually Martinhal's restaurant...
I would not recommend the Pousada. Have a look at the restaurant section of Essential Algarve, the reviews are very fair:

But within taxi range of Martinhal, you are a bit stuck! I like "Vivendo" in Meia Praia (Lagos) very much and it would be perfect, but might be just out of range for you.
