Life of cream

Recently bought a pint of ultra-pasteurized heavy cream and the sell by date was a good two months past the date I bought it. Anybody have experience with how long it stays good after opening?

    A month easily, probably more. In our house a pint would be gone in less than a week, it's what we drink in our coffee every morning. I buy the largest containers of it I can find and it we have never had it go bad before finishing it. :)

      I don't know for sure but I've had only good results even two months past the date.
      it's the look/smell/taste test, usually works.

        It lasts for a couple of months for me, even after being open, as long as it is kept cold and nothing is introduced into the container.

          If it passes my "sniff test" but is out of date then I usually cook with it. Sounds like you should make Alfredo!

            I use the UHT whipping cream, and it keeps for ages - at least a month after opening, maybe more.

              Heavy cream lasts a long time past it's due date. Until it smells bad? I've used it after two months, for sure.

                Problem here is that ultra-pasteurized has almost no flavor in the first place IMO. *Regular* pasteurized cream does, at least sometimes, but doesn't last as long. There is your trade-off.
