    Nice! And, thank you.

    I have had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with Mike Grgich, over the years.

    Besides being a very good wine maker, with a focus, he has also tried to "pay back" to the regions of his origin, and has helped many, and at many levels.

    Always a perfect gentleman, and my time was well-spent.

      I agree with his talent as a winemaker, but disagree strongly about the gentleman part, as many women of Napa Valley will (and did) attest. http://napavalleyregister.com/news/wi...

        Yes, well, I wasn't going to go there, but since you brought it up . . . that is/was a serious problem with Mike, and one that always bothered me far more than his not always returning equipment he borrowed from other wineries.

        The 1976 tasting may have rocked Napa Valley, but 87% of the grapes in Grgich's winning Chardonnay were from Sonoma.
