Do you know if their sourcing is any different from the halal butchers'?

I don't. I was mainly attracted by "grassfed" and "CA". It's about the same price I pay for whole animal purchase but more convenient. They have other cuts and chops but the price goes up with more handling. But the frenched racks were a reasonable $12.99/lb.

Much of the local halal lamb comes from Superior in Dixon. I was none to pleased to learn from a friend in Davis that Superior's lamb is finished on grain in "finishing fields". No idea what a finishing field is or if that approaches a confined feedlot type operation.
