Catskills Rt. 28 Phoenicia-Margaretville

Gastronomos Apr 16, 2013 01:36 PM

As usual, I am having trouble finding info using the search here on chowhound.com.
Can you please direct me to a family friendly breakfast/lunch/dinner place between Phoenicia and Margaretville? Or nearby.
I would like it to be kid friendly even though the kids don't order from the kids menu.
Brios and Sweet Sue's in Phoenicia, been there, done that.
Peekamoose, nice but too "upscale".
Breakfast, lunch, dinner with the family.
Thanks!

The Phoenicia Diner on Rt 28 is relatively new and wonderful. Kid friendly. It has been rehabbed, revised and rejuvenated. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the rec for The Phoenicia Diner. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for! NOT what it was before, at all. Do you have anything else in the area you would like to share? THANKS!

Jack's Arkville Bread and Breakfast - just over the RR tracks on Route 28, Arkville. Funky place. Great breakfast & lunch at reasonable prices. Open 7 days. You won't be disappointed.

Give the Pineview Bakery in Shokan a try. Great baked goods, and the challah french toast is marvelous.
