St. Mathews Men's Club Crawfish Boil

  • 2

I was in town for the Women's Final Four and saw a sign advertising the St. Mathews Men's Club Annual Crawfish Boil and thought I would check it out. I am a novice when it comes to Crawfish boils, only had boild crawfish twice, but this event sure was a lot fun and you don't walk away hungry. It was all the crawfish you can eat for $25.00 plus its for a good cause. There had to be over 25 different crawfish boil teams - not sure who was awarded the best but I sure was happy with the 5 booths that I tried. Some had only crawfish, others maybe corn, onions or a potato, some very spices others not. The people could not have been nicer - just needed to find more paper towels :) . I parked about 2 blocks away and could smell the crawfish cooking from there. Had a great time!
Thanks you St. Mathews.

  1. Thanks for your reviews.

Your "everyone makes it different" should be put at the top of the N.O. Chowhound board! It's a partial answer to the question "Who makes the best gumbo/red beans/jambalalya"

Also, loved your comment about needing more paper towels. While it isn't "More Cowbell!", it is a well know phrase around here in the spring. Some of the best foods just don't lend themselve to silverware. :-)
