Looking for chic, dressy parisien restaurant with good vibe.....

  • 4

Hello, I am currently researching for our trip to Paris in June. We will be staying at the Mandarin Oriental. This forum has been superbly helpful and up to now I am planning on reserving at : Le Regalade St. Honore, Le Chateaubriand, Chez l'Ami Jean, Josephine Chez Dumonet, and lunch at Le Comptoir and Yam'tcha.
One of the nights we would like to dress up a bit more and would like some recommendations for a place with excellent food as well as a chic, more trendy atmosphere with decor to match. I am not really interested in the more traditional 3 star places as they are usually more hushed and quiet in atmosphere. Any recs???
Thanks in advance!!

  1. Les Tablettes de Jean-Louis Nomicos seems to fit the bill.

    Also:
Spring, Passage 53, Claude Colliot (dinner), Ze Kitchen Galerie, JF Piège @ Thoumieux, Chez les Anges, Gaya, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon (rive gauche and rive droite), 39V, Chiberta, Akrame, Prunier Etoile, Caïus, Frédéric Simonin, Le Sergent Recruteur.

And, oh yes, John's right, 110 de Taillevent.

Not so sure about Abri: food is too hit-and-miss, but above all who wants to dress up and then get their fine clothes all smelly from the busy open kitchen a few inches away?

Merci to Ptipois and John Talbott! Les Tablettes seems to fill the bill perfectly! Will report back...

JF Piège ? or the Brasserie Thoumieux below ?

      2. Hummm, chic and trendy?
Are Japanesey places in or out of your sphere of possibilities? If inside albeit not dressy I'm enthusiastic about Clandestino & Abri.
If outside, at this moment I'm highest on Jean-Louis Nomicos
        & 110 Taillevent.
