Wendy's Fresh Lemonade It's Good

michele cindy Apr 14, 2013 04:34 AM

Has anyone tried the fresh lemonade and berry lemonade at Wendy's yet? If not I recommend you do. It's pretty tasty. A bit sweet for me, I just add some water to it. A bit of a better drink then soda, or any of the other high fructose loaded choices. I took a look on the web to find out what they used to sweeten it, and it's cane sugar. http://www.brandeating.com/2011/08/ne...

I love lemonade, but when I watched my boss make it from scratch I couldn't believe how MUCH sugar it requires. It was absolutely not too sweet, and was so delicious fresh, but with the revelation of the amount of sugar, I have sworn it off. My loss, I know, but that much sugar? Nah.

I dilute it with water. I get about 3 drinks from the one they serve.

That's why you drink one glass and not the pitcher.

Thank you for your sarcastic obvious wisdom.

If you make a simple syrup it takes much less to sweeten

I tried it last year and I thought it was very good. So was the lemonade at Panera; the frozen lemonade was particularly refreshing on a hot day. Haven't tried either this year yet - lemonade and parkas just don't go together for me.

Yes, it's a darn good refreshment. I'm surprised that such a quality item is being sold by a national fast food chain.
