Success with homemade Atlantic Beach Pie??
After spending a few years in North Carolina I had the occasion to partake of this delight. Strangely I do not like Key Lime Pie but do love Atlantic Beach Pie: not sure why. Has anyone ever made this at home and been able to produce a good result? Seems simple enough.
It's basic enough, if you've ever made key lime pie. The filling is the basic key lime filling off the back of the juice bottle - eggs, condensed milk, lime juice. You can use lime juice, lemon juice, or a combination of the two. The crust is the difference. It is a crumb crust made from saltine crackers.
