McDonald's Premium McWraps

Has anybody tried one of these yet? I read somewhere that the approach McDonald's is taking with these is to try to steal market share from Subway by creating healthier meal options.

I had the Sweet Chili variety...the sauce is good but it had cucumber in it (which i HATE).

You can ask for it without the cucumber. I get mine without the tomato. Get a grilled one without the sauce and you're actually talking a relatively healthy (and tasty) meal.

i, on the other hand, loved the crunchy cucumber.

Since they've ditched the fish McBites (which we actually thought were palatable), may need to try these. Are they big enough to split for 2 not-too-hungry-hounds?

i wouldn't want to split one, but for two not-so-hungry hounds, maybe.

          and they've nixed fish mcbites????

got a sweet chili and a ranch because they were 2 for 1. they were small, i had to eat both because 1 wasn't enough.

surprisingly i liked the cucumber slice (there were 1 or 2) because i don't usually like raw cucumber.

they tasted alright, but def nothing special. i would absolutely not order again.

i loved the ranch one with the fried chicken. it was super fresh. got it when they were promoting it for $2!!! now i think it is $4.

the chili one was too sweet for me. (this was with the grilled chicken, so that was also a bummer factor).

the bacon one had bacon that wasn't freshly cooked -- nor was it cooked enough to be crispy. (also the grilled chicken…meh meh meh!)

I had the bacon one on a whim through the drive-thru.

It was so bad (I think it was from the taste of the bacon that didn't appear freshly made and the whole first bite that tasted too sweet) I pulled over and gave the entire thing less one bite to a crow.

LOL... I have this image of a flock of crows lining up along the McDonalds exit road waiting for people to hand over their unwanted McWraps. :)

Perhaps this was the original opening scene of the great Hitchcock's "The Birds", which was cut and left on the editing room floor. It would explain what caused the birds behavior, Mc'Withdrawl.

Too scary even for Hitchcock? Hahaha

My first trip to India, and I was eating a samosa in front of an open restaurant window. A monkey swung into the window frame, grabbed my samosa, and swung away.

Sheesh, I would have been happier to see a Hitchcock crow!

Is the "wrap" the same bland tortilla that's used on the $1 mini-wrap? I found the $1 one inedible, both from the tortilla and the too-sweet sauce on the chicken.

it is a flour tortilla. they usually are bland, no? in any event, the tortilla is bland, but thicker than the one on, say, breakfast burrito.

I tried the chicken and bacon one and was very, very disappointed. The bacon in particular was not bacony at all, and the whole thing was a sloppy mess to eat (I was in the car). When my car threw a rod at 228K miles just a few minutes after I ate this atrocity, I attributed the event to the wrap. (Just kidding, but the two unpleasant events are now permanently tied together in my mind.)

mcwrap is on sale now, buy one, get one 99 cents. so, i guess that makes each one about $2.50? i'll only get the fried chicken ranch one, since i've tried the other "flavors." by the way, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit this morning reminded me that i'm not happy with their new (?) bacon -- it has too much flavoring.

my husband and i were joking that mcwrap sounds just like mc-crap. (now you're saying it to yourself, huh? LOL).

That's all I've ever been able to think every time I drive by McD's and see the McCrap advertised!

I do admit to going through their drive through, especially now that they have the Spicy McChicken back on the menu for $1.

McCrap LOL love it. I had my annual Big Mac today and enjoyed it very much as it seemed to have extra sauce and crispy lettuce. I'm not sure where the meat was. The fries were wonderful.

Interestingly enough CNBC is doing a segment on these new menu items and how Mc'D sales are unexpectedly up for May. It will take a month or two to see if the sales trend continues, the initial boost could be just curiosity shoppers, as it seems this thread proves.
