I will be in Chicago for business. I have a choice of these two restaurants for dinner. Opinions?

Have you looked at the menus on their websites? They're very different from each other, so the big question is whether you prefer Italian small plates or contemporary American comfort food.

I like both abd both menus look good but, if they aren't executed well it doesn't matter. I want to go to the restaurant that is highest in overall quality.

Depends on what you're looking for. I enjoy Quartino's but it's mostly tile surfaces and can get quite loud, so not the best spot for a business dinner.

Yes, I agree. The food at Quartino is very good if you think you'd enjoy that type of food. But if you plan to discuss business and need to hear each other well without shouting, maybe not the best spot. Oh and the noise level is not only due to the acoustics as ferret notes, but it's also oriented as much towards drinking as eating, with lots of folks going there for drinks and light snacks.

I haven't been to Markethouse so I can't comment on the food quality or the noise level there.

Thanks. The noise level doesn't matter.
