Dinner with Mom in San Antonio suggestions

brkln Apr 11, 2013 01:14 PM

I would love suggestions for a restuarant in San Antonio for May. I am not from there, so your help is very appreciated. It's my mom's 60th birthday and I'd like to take her somewhere special (but not too special). She's not a white table cloth person, but she does like going to interesting places. She would probably like food she recognizes, nothing experimental or too foreign. She loves fish. If the place had a view of some sort, that would be great too. If you know of places that may fit, please let me know! Thanks.

It's hit or miss at times, but Landry's at the Tower of the America's is special since it rotates 360 degrees

Boudro's on The Riverwalk. Their blackened gulf fish fillet is excellent and you can ask for outdoor seating. Also try an appetizer of guacamole that is prepared tableside.
