Achiote paste in Scarborough, ON??

puertomorelos3 Apr 10, 2013 05:58 PM

Does anyone know where I can get some achiote paste in Scarborough? It's almost impossible for me to get downtown to purchase any due to my work schedule so I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in Scarborough. Any help would be appreciated :)

Any Latin grocery store should have it. If you don't see it ask. I just googled and came across this one in Scarbourough that was recommended on another forum:

    Rincon Latino
    1352 Kennedy Rd Scarborough, ON M1P 2L7(416) 615-2675

You can call them and see if they are still in business. Thread was from a few years ago.

I made a Cochinita Pibil recipe recently using achiote. Turned out pretty good!

you can also try highland farms at 850 Ellesmere Road and kennedy, they have a good selection of imported goods, i some times get my El Yucateco hot sauce from them so they may carry their achiote paste and/or marinade as well.
