$125 pp for food, not counting drinks. Anywhere in Manhattan, open to most foods...

I think that Annisa's tasting menu is under $125. And it is great.

Can't say enough about Annisa. I have done the five and the seven course tasting menus. In my opinion, less is more. The entree and dessert courses are significantly larger than traditional tasting portions. With the five, I felt perfectly stated. With the seven, I felt decidedly uncomfortable. And a very good deal at the price point, either way.

Ko is amazing. But I think it is $125 on the dot.

The Kappō at Ma Peche is $95 per person. Counter seating and only 8 guests per night at 7:30.

Yes, I've had it twice, and I loved it both times. There have been some reports by others on this board of their own very good experiences.

Aska in Williamsburg is $110. At the very least it will be a memorable meal
Jungsik although at $155 is a special one. You will get about 16 courses there

I realize both suggestions don't answer the question but something to keep in mind perhaps

My top picks right now at that price would be:

                  Ko: $125
                  Aquavit: $125
Kyo Ya: $90 (nine course) / $120 (ten course)
Recette: $75 (5 course) / $100 (7 course) / $125 (10 course, second Monday of the month only, all brand new off-menu creations)

Aska (not in Manhattan, but worth mentioning): $75 (7 courses, Sunday - Thursday) / $110 (10 courses, Fri & Sat only)

                  Also worth considering:

WD-50: $90 "From The Vault" menu
Babbo: $90 - "Traditional" Tasting Menu
                  Esca: $75
Public: $50 "Sunday Supper" (5 courses)
                  Morimoto: $120

There are also some amazing lunch tasting deals, if daytime dining is an option:

Bouley: $55 (5 courses, and you get to pick your dishes! So that's 10 dishes to taste if you're dining with a partner...)
                  Del Posto: $75
