  1. I didn't realize that it finally opened. Their date was pushed out quite a few times. I definitely want to try it as it's the same owner as the FatCat in Quincy. I believe the name of the restaurant is supposed to reflect the type of food they will be offering. In other words, foods from different cuisines as if you were traveling.

    1. Is this related to the Passports in Gloucester?

No I don't believe so. The owner is from the south shore (lifelong Quincy resdent) and the FatCat was his first restaurant. Rather than open a second location, as I understand it, he wanted to try a different concept.

      2. Is that Neil's place?

I didn't think it opened yet.

Yes it is. The last I had heard it was supposed to open mid March but I hadn't heard anything so I was surprised when I saw the OP.

        2. That's a dumb, uninspired name. Like the kind of name you'd give the hotel restaurant at a Marriott or somesuch.

          1. Per their Facebook page:

            March 30
Hello everyone! The Fat Cat will be closed tomorrow in observance of the Easter holiday. We hope the Easter Bunny treats everyone well. Quick update on Passport we are in the staff training process now and we are shooting to open by mid April at the latest.

Good find on FB, I looked but never saw that. I fail at FB!

            2. From the Fat Cat page yesterday: "Passport should be open for business within a matter of weeks. Just training staff now and working out the kinks."

So if it looks open, it's probably some kind of soft opening for friends and family.
