pralines on oahu?

parents just came back from new orleans and brought me some pralines, both the mass produced, individually packaged type, and some gourmet candy company type. both were good, but the handcrafted ones were excellent. in my search for a local source of fudge, i did not happen on any pralines, but if you know a place, let me in on it. these were extraordinary and i ate a whole bunch and didn't feel sugar sick. they were soft and crumbly, caramelly, a hint of crystalization, creamy, brown sugary, with a few whole pecans. the entire cluster was large enough to fit in my palm. my favorite was the one dipped in chocolate. decadent!
Reminds me of the good old days when there used to be a vendor in the International Market place that sold pralines under the banyan tree-used to come in buckets-the type you see KFC fried chicken wax lined buckets. I used to go crazy for them! I thought I was so sophisticated to eat them.
I don't know for sure but a good place to ask might be the Honolulu Chocolate Company in Ward Center. Neiman's has some good ones pre-packaged.
I do not.
Once, I could direct you to a restaurant in Lana`i City, Lana`i, but they are now gone. The restaurant featured two brothers from Westwego, Louisiana, and one was the GM, while the other was the chef. The chef worked with my wife (a New Orleans native), to hone his pralines, and did a great job. Alas, that was Lana`i, and back when.
On O`ahu, I have no clue, but wish you good luck,
