Any suggestions for King Crab at Chinese restaurants in YYC? It's currently in season for a few more weeks, I called Forbidden City, T.Pot, and Silver Dragon last week search came up negative.

    As I understand it the season ended a couple of weeks ago.

      Thanks for confirming, that's probably won't I didn't find any. I'm surprised Edmonton has a few Chinese restaurants with them in stock still.

        I was just in Vancouver a few days ago and it's still all over the Chinese restaurants there and in Richmond, but I was told that it was ending and that they were the "small" leftover crabs.

      Try calling Forbidden City again. There is an ad in this weeks Chinese newspaper for king crab. $30 per pound done two ways. Plus $10 for rice dish using the king crab paste. see attached pic

        I'm back in Edmonton now, will be back in Calgary later this week. Hoping they still have some in stock by next weekend.

        the restaurant under the cultural center used to have them... not sure if they still do tho.

          Came back from a king crab dinner last night in Edmonton at Golden Rice Bowl. Overall it was good but the charge was a little steep $36 per pound. Pictures can be found on my photo of essays link on my profile.

            Bought some frozen at Superstore a couple of weeks ago. Don't bother, very salty, and had been well overcooked at the processing plant. Disgusting actually.
