Gene's Recommendation

On Phil's mention, I went to Gene's (cajun soul food in Austin) today for lunch. I had the jambalaya special, with three fried chicken wings, smothered green beans, potato salad and french bread toast on the side. The potato salad disappointed, tasting like a mustard heavy store bought brand, but everything else was excellent.

My companion had a cheeseburger, done perfectly to order and pronounced delicious. I'm definately headed back to this one. See Gene's home page at www.genesrestaurant.com.
