Carmel Restaurant Update
Heading to Carmel for the weekend, last time I was there was back in 2005.
What are best bets for restaurants these days - Aubergine, Marinus, others?

We ended up at Aubergine, we had the tasting menu and thought it was very good! One of my better meals of late. Don't have many (if any) restaurants of this style in LA.
Also dined at Bouchee, not recommended. Went there by accident. The scallop and veal entree was one of the worst I've had in a long time.

Couple of other notable mentions for pastries during my trip:
- Pastisserie Bechler - service was not great though
- Parker-Lusseau - better of the two.
