Finally Philz Coffee Civic Center is open! One block up from Asian Art Museum on corner of Larkin & Golden Gate Ave. I went Easter Sunday 3/31/13 and got to try their Famous Mint Mojito Iced Coffee. I ordered where the guy was making it, he asked if I want it sweet & they regular way they make it, sure. Small is $4/ Large is $4.5. I got the Small.

It took about 5 min or maybe less to make. He smashed mint into the cup, made the coffee, & put a bit more mint on top, had ice in it too. I liked it. Looks good too.

They have Starters Bakery Chocolate Kouign Amann $3.5 & Regular $3.5; pre-made breakfast burritos $4.5, etc. They have toaster ovens to heat your food up. Saw Vegan donuts I think they are from Pepples Donuts $2 ea; Goodies Cookies locally made $3 cookie.

Several tables/chairs, & leather sofa seating. Not a big room, looks nice though.

Charge it if you can. Doesn't like REI Visa credit card on their iPad machine.

One unisex bathroom - a huge Exit sign with key attached. Lock when inside & when leaving.

  1. They reportedly just got a $15-25 million venture capital investment, so expect lots more branches in lots more places. The Jabers still control the majority of shares.
