Had Shad Roe for the first time in my life. Was pretty excited, but was underwhelmed. I don't know how it is usually prepared, but if I was too prepare it, I'd do it almost like liver, with some bacon and onions.
Any other thoughts?
EGGS bacon and onion
bacon and mustard, as well as sharp greens and lemon, are usual companions with shad roe.
its season is so short, i usually let a restaurant do it for me.
