Anyone been to Tacos Punta Cabras - Santa Monica? Fish Tacos!

The photos of their fish tacos with the 65 degree quail egg look incredible. Want to know if anyone has tried them yet? Thanks!

They are very good. Now I am a convert.

Though a tad bit under 20 bucks for four tacos and a soda is still very expensive.

Both the shrimp and fish tacos are great.

They may even start serving sea urchin tostadas if anyone is up for ponying up the big bucks.

Is that 65? Or 62.5? (which it says here).

65 might be a touch too high for a little quail egg.

Despite the new ordering system, the wait was 30 minutes for 2 fish tacos and 1 tofu taco. You now have to approach the counter, indicate your order, qty, salsa preference and name on a piece of paper, pay and look for a table. At 1 o'clock on a Friday, this tiny place with about 7 tables inside and 3 outside was packed. The good side of this story is that by the time your order is ready, someone has already finished his/her meal.
