Vegan Options in Albany and Red Hook, SVP!

Peaches to Poutine Mar 29, 2013 05:24 AM

Hello!

My husband and I are journeying down to Red Hook next Saturday for an event at Bard College, so we were wondering--aside from scanning Happy Cow---what are our vegan-y food options would be. If there's nothing doing in Red Hook, we're driving through Albany so we could stop there too. (We will be staying in Albany that night, though.)

Any dinner and breakfast recs would be lovely! Thanks!

In Albany, All Good Bakers has many vegan options including cinnamon buns and might be a good choice for breakfast.

Right near them on Delaware Avenue is New World Bistro Bar. While they do serve all sorts of food, their vegan items are clearly marked on the menu and they have a lot of choices.

There's also X's and O's Vegan Bakery in Troy, but they're closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Mingle has some good vegan and gluten free options. I also like Van's on Central, as well as Kinaree on Lark St.

Karavali is great indian food in Clifton Park. They have vegan food clearly marked on the menu. Also one of the few places where you can find Okra Curry.
