Hot Cross Buns in Asheville/Hendersonville/Brevard NC

I should have asked this weeks ago...Does anyone know where I can buy good Hot Cross Buns in the Asheville/Hendersonville/Brevard area? In addition to bakeries, I think some churches might sell them.

Thanks in advance.

I ate one from West End Bakery on Haywood Rd. in West Asheville yesterday.

Flat Rock Bakery always has them.

        Thanks for the tips.

I grew up in a small town in the SF Bay Area. The local bakery in town made the best HC Buns. Part of what made them so good was they used custard for the cross instead of icing.

I had one from City Bakery in Asheville the other day and enjoyed it.

Wildflower in Saluda as well, although I haven't tasted theirs.

another possibility is Carolina Mtn. Bakery in Skyland. I'm not crazy about some of their stuff, but they make me babka to order and it's fantastic. Just checked their FB page and they have a pic of them, so they've got them!

Also remember Flat Rock Bakery has a location in Fletcher now too if that's more convenient. It's called Fletcher Village Bakery, but it's the same people. Just checked their FB page and they posted a pic of their hot cross buns so they have them too!
