Recommendations for Skinny Frittes?

kaleokahu Mar 24, 2013 09:19 AM

Hi:

Been getting a lot of mediocre fries/frittes lately, even ones not dumped from a Sysco bag. I'm missing the skinny frittes Sambar and Old Town Alehouse did, and even The Elysian's aren't up to their own standards any longer...

Anyone have any recommendations or favorites for frittes these days?

Aloha,
Kaleo

Not the first place you think of for fries, but the truffle fries at Canlis are wonderful.

Great. Think I'll drop by for a PBR and fries. Do they have TVs and pulltabs?

      ;) ;)

I don't like 'em, but I feel like a lot of skinny fry people I know are fans of Schultzy's.

And I know Nabob and Thirsty Traveler get love, but those always tasted like the frozen kind to me.

        Hi, GY:

Not a big fan of the U District, but I'll give them a try. Thanks.

Cafe Campagne makes a very large basket of perfectly prepared frites, which are skinny. The $5 basket will feed 4 frites lovers as a side dish.
