3CROW Restaurant & Bar - Rockland, ME

I had the opportunity to get a little sneak peek at the space the other night, and it looks absolutely incredible. I mean NO expense was spared, it's really a sight to behold. Check out some of their pics on Facebook, though they don't really do it justice. 16 beers on tap and 30 whiskies??? Crazy.

My guess is they open this week (end of March 2013). Very high hopes.

    1. I can't wait to see the whiskey selection and to pop in for dinner. Rockland is a great town with some great options for food!

      1. Peek at the food/drink menu for those interested.

        1. Ate there Thursday night - drinks are terrific, great, but noisy, space that's very well done. Flatware & napkins uncomfortable, cheesy and cheap - like they spent all their money on the space. Food cooked in a downstairs kitchen, hauled upstairs, uncovered, by waitstaff, so not as hot as it should be - nor was it as good as we had hoped since it was kind of Southern (NOLA wannabe) translated to ME ingredients which didn't always work. Definitely go back for the drinks, but not the food - but it should get better after the kinks (a few) are worked out. Have to say, though, the french fries and tobacco onion fries were super.

I had the EXACT same thought on the napkins. Everything else is 1st rate...but the napkins are kind of like what you get at a Holiday Inn banquet. Funny.

Don't give up on the food after just one try. I had the shrimp and grits and burger the other night and both were fantastic.

I'm usually partial to Scotch, but I tried the Irish Redbreast 12 y/o and wow what a good whiskey.

The burger is what I had (came with the fries) and it was all right (unheated bun which wasn't all right), great fries, like I said. I will go again because I know what a good cook Josh has in the kitchen there. I know it will get better and hope it becomes as good as 40P which is a great place to eat and drink.

My knock on 40Paper has always been the service, which can be downright awful at times.

On a side note, 3Crow has expanded their whiskey list to 40 offerings.
