I was in Falmouth this morning and met a colleague for a pre-meeting brain storm. We went to the Pickle Jar on Main St. Great friendly vibe from the waitstaff. I had a really good breakfast sandwich and my guest had an egg white omelette which he enjoyed. Definitely a cute spot for breakfast or light lunch.

After my meeting I headed over to Maison Villatte. Holy shit their stuff is really good. Loaded up on Croissant (chocolate, plain, almond), batard, raisin loaf and several tarts. I had to restrain myself from eating everything. I gave most of it to another clients office workers who devoured everything except the chocolate croissant which I thought was the best I've ever had.

I bumpped into a friend on Main St. He sells to restaurants. He told me a young couple took over the Mezza space up the road from Falmouth Center and are opening a place called C Salt. A little research (FB) shows the chef/husband was a Tosca and Square Cafe alum (Hingham) so that may be worth watching for. FB says spring opening.

C salt sounds promising! Thanks for the update.

Any locals (or summer geeks) try his food at the Golf Club and care to report back?
