How is the food at BU these days?
I've never tried it, I know it used to be good back when it was the first wine bar to open in Montreal. But I know there have been changes in the staff over the last few years, and I never hear it mentionne anymore.
Can anyone comment on how the food is nowadays? Is it always empty, or a fun place to eat out?

I went for the first time maybe a month or so ago. The wines were fantastic, although they pour fairly small glasses unfortunately. The food was average - the "bruschetta" was an interpretation of bruschetta and instead of being light and fresh tasting, it was covered in cheese and extremely oily. Actually all the food was relatively greasy, even though we did not order dishes that on paper sounded like they should be greasy (except for maybe the deep fried olives!)
I must admit, we went across the road afterwards for a burger from Burger de Ville :) There was less grease on the burger than there had been on the bruschetta!
