Going to Supper with a group in a couple weeks. Wanted to see what people's favorites are.

Thanks.

Copied and pasted from their website:

    daily suppers

FRIDAYS - Filet of Sole Oregonata $20.95
Sole w/ breadcrumbs & lemon, served w/ steamed new potatoes & parsley

Lemony, fresh, good. There's also a very good fish dish with a tomato-based sauce with olives. I can't find it on the online menu. It might have been a special.

    entrees

    1/2 Roasted Giannone CHICKEN $18.95
w/ wild fennel rosemary, roasted garlic & mashed potatoes

Yeah, I wouldn't normally order roast chicken in a restaurant, but they do a really good job: Even the white meat is moist and flavorful, and they use just the right amount of rosemary to give it a good flavor. The skin is often perfectly crispy, too.

    daily soup

From THURS to SAT - RIBOLLITA $11.95
the Classic TUSCAN black Kale, vegetable, and bread Soup

I don't have this too often, but like most of their other offerings, it has a clean, fresh taste.

    crostini

    BRUSCHETTA $6.95
Roasted garlic, olive oil & sea salt
    MUSHROOMS TRIFOLATI $10.95
    Freshly sautéed mushrooms

Probably any of the crostini would be good, but I seldom have them because I usually eat low carbs, which also accounts for the lack of pastas on this list.

    insalate

Finely Sliced FENNEL, Shaved PIAVE cheese & arugula leaves $12.95

I love fennel, and their fennel is very fresh and flavorful (seeing a theme here?).

    contorni

    ZUCCHINE TAGLIATELLE $7.95
w/ olive oil, garlic & toasted almonds

This is the best of the contorni, all of which are fine.

You probably can't go wrong there. I remember liking the Golden Polenta, too, when I had it some time ago.

Supper is by no means a great restaurant, but it is an honest, solid restaurant that uses good ingredients and is consistently good. Good, inexpensive wine list, too.

Thanks so much. We're going with a group of 10, and so their reasonably priced group menu was appealing to us. Unfortunately, our group is a little too small to book their private room.

See if they can seat you in the back room. It's not private, but it is probably going to be more nearly so than the front.
