Thanks for comfort food recommendations!

We ended up going to Blue Ribbon BBQ in Arlington. It was ... OK. Somehow, I always come away a bit underwhelmed. They talk a big game with their specials, but basically every single one seems to be some version of: meat drenched in mayo with lettuce, tomato, onion, with maybe a wildcard condiment thrown in for good measure. I had a catfish melt. It was gloopy. Mac and cheese lacked cheese, and was cold. Green beans were tasty, as usual, as was the cornbread. Next time I have a bad day, I'll probably try either Manna (thanks!) or a greasy pizza from Adrina's on the Lexington line.

  1. hoping for better days, both in events/mood and food.

    1. In arlington center, we went to mr sushi a long time ago, but had a very good nabeyaki udon (udon soup w/ seafood etc) which has long been a fav comfort food for us.
