How not to describe the taste of peas

Bkeats Mar 22, 2013 06:54 AM

So we were having a group dinner at a restaurant. The mains come and everyone is comparing their dishes. One of the women tastes her dish. She does not like peas. She pauses then tastes the dish again. She then says "I don't know but I think there is a certain taste of pea-ness to this." The rest of us at the table look at each other and then burst out laughing. She asks what's so funny? She is told to describe the taste again. She does so this time listening to herself. Then she turns bright red. Be careful how you describe your vegetables.
