Need a good taco/beer/afternoon patio spot!

Hey CH friends, I have a friend coming in to town, and her birthday is Sunday. She wants Mexican food, beers, and a patio (for the hopefully beautiful Cali weather!) I think afternoon. She's staying in Weho, and has a baby in tow, so probably doesn't want to stray too far. I am drawing a blank. No where douchey-so ruling out Cabo Cantina and Rosa Mexicana. Thinking Esquelas food with the patio of....see, this is where I'm drawing a blank. HELP!!

Love Loteria...just worried about the Farmers Market on a Sunday before spring break...same with the Hollywood location...way too close to Hollywood/Highland for me. I get anxiety just thinking about it!! :)

        I agree with you : ]

Last time I was there around spring break I saw some out of town ironic t-shirts most likely from Arizona.

Pretty much spoiled the atmosphere. The handmade tortillas are good but they can't make up for a out of town hipster sitting next to you.

Best to go after spring break....

    2. Frida in BH has seating on the sidewalk along South Beverly Drive. Good people watching, very good bar menu and a great happy hour.

      1. I really like the patio at the Senior Fish location in Eagle Rock (if that's geographically desirable for you?) http://eaglerock.patch.com/listings/s...

Doesnt want to "stray to far" from Weho. Eagle Rock IMO would qualify as a stray.

That's why I qualified my suggestion with the "if that's geographically desirable for you" line.

I've learned here over the years to take those nebulous "not stray too far" statements with a large grain of sea salt.

No one is more qualified than you sir, to render culinary opinions!

        2. Agree with Loteria recommendation. I particularly recommend Loteria stand in Farmer's Market (can get beer from bar in market center) and enjoy the tacos, etc. as well as the rest of the market, which is also very comfortable for a baby (lively, lots to look at & hold their attention)

          1. Not sure how "authentic" you're going for, but for good drinks, nice patio, and good food I'd try Malo on Sunset. Marix Tex Mex has good margaritas/drinks. I can't vouch for the food.
