Favorite local eats in Lincoln, NE?

In Lincoln, NE, Valentino's Pizza & Runza of course, & Lazlo's always has good food, beer & top-notch service. But recently tried La Quarier Bakery and loved the tomato soup & turkey club on home-made bread. What other local places do you recommend?

I go to Lincoln a couple of times a year for various sporting events. I don't often get the chance for nice, planned, "foodie," meals. However I do have a couple of places that I like.

Yia Yia's pizza is my favorite downtown after a game.
Ali Baba is ok for gyros
Green Papaya on N 27th for good Vietnamese. There's also Pho Nguyenn on 27th a bit closer to downtown.

I've heard good things about The Oven for Indian food, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I was going to say I was underwhelmed by Lazlo's,but since you liked it I may have to give it another chance.

      I love La Quartier breads!

SE side of town- Fireworks has been a good find for us as a family place. Same ownership as Lazlo's.
*The Oven in Haymarket is fantastic (2roads asked).
      * +1 for YiaYia's pizza and their sister restaurants OSO burrito and Marz downtown.
      * Folks are crazy for PepperJax cheesesteaks.. and they are good but I'm not wild about them.
      * I'm "over" Runza now (so much better to make at home)
      * Very much NOT a fan of Valentino's.
      * Have heard The Isles in Havelock is great for pizza but haven't tried.
Scan the board for Lincoln as there are better lists on here than I provided.

Almost forgot about The Isles. Tried it, and the whole family thought it very good. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of Lazlo's at all. I do like The Oven and Bread-and-Cup in the Haymarket. I've heard good things about the Partheon for greek food. Phat Jack's BBQ is very good. DaVinci's has very good if greasy Philly Cheesesteaks and a good cranberry spinach salad if you want more healthy fare there.
Only the Oven and the Partheon on my list are more formal places (though Bread and Cup can go both ways, arguably).
