Continuous scrolling - mobile question
As someone who was very unhappy with the five-page limit on mobile devices when that update was released, I am definitely a fan of the newer continuous scrolling setup. However, when I read a thread and hit the back button, it puts me back at the top of the list and I have to scroll through everything again to get where I was. Not sure if this is my lousy Internet connection or a problem for everyone. If so, is there any way to "hold" the spot in the continuous list when you go back? Thanks for any input!
That happens to me too and it drives me crazy. I assumed it was an IPhone thing, would love to know its not and there is a planned fix soon.
Any word on this? I'd love to hear from a site admin if there's anything in the works to fix this in the next upgrade. At this point I'm wishing we could return to the old mobile format with the option to hit next/previous page.
We understand what you are saying here, and recognize that it's not always ideal. We'll continue to investigate whether making a change to this is possible, but for now, it's probably not something we can adjust.
In the meantime, one work-around is to open CH discussions in a new page. On iphone, you can do this by holding down as you click on a discussion, and then you can select "open in new page." Then, when you go back to your other window, it'll be in the same place you were at before.
