Stout Cake with Guinness Draught?

We have a few bottles of Guinness Draught left over from our St. Paddy's day party, and I wanted to make Guinness Spice cupcakes...but the draught is a bit more lager-y than the stout - anyone with experience swapping draught for stout? I've done it accidentally with a chocolate cake version, and though it wasn't noticeable in terms of tasting like beer, it did lose a little of the chocolate-y undertones I was used to. Never made Stout Spice cake though, so I'm not sure WHAT the undertones do for it...
