Friday family friendly meal - dupont circle

My husband and I are traveling to DC this weekend with our 18 month old. Looking for some recommendations in the dupont ciricle, adams morgan or georgetown area.

I'm looking for somewhere that is family friendly. My 18 mo will eat pretty much everything but can be loud, so a quiet restaurant probably won't work. Looking for a good variety in the menu since I won't eat meat on Friday but my husband will.

We typically gravitate toward Latin American/Mexican style food but pretty willing to try anything.

thanks in advance

  1. Bayou in Foggy Bottom has excellent cajun food and a good mix of tourists, students, office workers, and families.

    1. There isn't a ton of Latin American/Mexican food in this area. The one good place for this type of cuisine in Adams Morgan is Casa Oaxaca.

Another place that I think would work would be Hank's Oyster Bar---a New England Seafood style restaurant. Lots of delicious offerings for a non-meat eater. Definitely loud enough that no one will notice a baby making noise. I've seen kids there many times before.
