Substitute Coconut Milk for Water In Boxed Brownies

I have a box of brownie mix lying around and I always wondered if you could substitute the water it calls for with coconut milk. Has anybody experienced this? I also plan on substituting the vegetable oil with coconut oil lightly heated.

it will probably turn out fine, just a bit heavier. Have you ever used coconut oil for shortbread? Highly recommend.

      Yep, you can.

Be warned - it goes rancid faster with the addition of either coconut oil or coconut milk. In a tropical country, it'll be bad in about 3-4 days. On the other hand, if it'll be consumed within a day or two, it really doesn't matter to you. (I live in a two person household. This kind of stuff is more noticeable for us.)
