Any (further?) info on Ivan Ramen @ LES?

All I've heard is "soon" or "spring 2013" ...

@bpicorale beginning of May barring any construction surprises! (https://twitter.com/ivanramen/status/...)

You could always walk by 25 Clinton St if you're really curious...

Yeah, maybe. I'll be in your fine city later this week.

          Lau,

Where would you recommend for ramen? I usually hit up Totto (partly because that's usually the area of town where I'm staying at).

Been to Ippudo and Minca. Both were ok, but prefer Totto.

hmm honestly im probably not the best person to ask b/c ive become so jaded about NY ramen (especially after i got back from tokyo in december)

totto - definitely one of the better spots in NY, so that's a decent go to

Ippudo - I'm not the biggest fan of ippudo, i think its decent, but def doesn't live up to the hype. I think santouka for tonkotsu is much better (obviously you have many branches in LA / OC...i normally eat the the one in costa mesa since it's close to my home in newport)

            Minca - decent, nothing special

Tsukushi - I haven't been here yet and they only serve ramen after 10pm (sort of this pop up underground thing), might be worth trying

Hide Chan - This is the one place I've been meaning to go to, but I've just been to busy to get around to it. This could be something to try

Ramen Misoya - I like this place for something different (hokkaido style ramen); might be worth it for you to try something different
