jules bistro reminds me of la sirene in nyc, which we have enjoyed more than once.

How about Cheesewerks on Bathurst just south of Wellington (http://www.cheesewerks.com/menu/). Grilled cheese sandwiches, fondue, soups, and charcuterie. Small wine and beer list which I haven't had time to dig into.
Pretty Casual but had good experiences at The One That Got Away last year... Down at King/Portland:

Beast is you tell them you have a theatre curtain
+1 for beast.
416 Snack Bar is rather close and you can get in and out quickly if you get there fairly early.
Marben is a bit farther away but walkable for sure and again you can get in and out in 90 mins if you're there early and they take reservations.
