Peruvian Seafood coming to MDR

Baron Mar 16, 2013 09:03 AM

I've read that a Peruvian seafood restaurant is coming to Marina del Rey in April. It's called Paiche - after a Peruvian fish of the same name. They specialize in ceviche (sp) and other dishes using fish from the Amazon. It is run by a Chef Richardo Zarate. Do any of you hounds know about this concept? I love seafood, and trying not to get my hopes up too high but would welcome a truly good seafood restaurant on the Westside that is open for lunch and dinner. I really miss places like Jacks at the Beach, Maryland Crab House, Hymies Seafood. (now I'm dated).

ricardo zarate is the chef in charge of both Mo-Chica in downtown LA, as well as Picca on Pico Blvd. near BH.
      Gooooood food.
A place you should be looking forward to.
If you check the ratings for those places, you will get a sense of how good things are going to be.

Thanks for the info, Carter and Thor. My taste buds are ready! I've been wanting to try Picca and since you both speak highly of it, I will be sure to pay them a visit. I'll be looking forward to Paiche. I see they are set to open April 2nd. I put my name in for the lottery they're having for a preview dinner on March 29. Wish me luck.

I googled this the other day and it looks like its going to be very good. Seems to be along the lines of Picca, which would be great.
