Myrtle Beach

lavendula Mar 16, 2013 06:57 AM

Embarking on a family trip to Myrtle Beach and in search of the best bets around. We will most likely be going out for all dinners (so I need three choices) and a few lunches. We are staying in North Myrtle but will travel around. One vegetarian in our group, open to all types of cuisine, budget is moderate.

Thanks in advance!

    Snooky's At Little River

    Fibber's On The Water

    Carolina Roadhouse

    Bar-B-Que House

    Plantation Pancake House

Ella's (in Calabash, but worth the drive).

All are relatively close to where you are.

In my three years here I don't think I've ever seen a rec from NMB.We spend a week every year at 82nd Ave north, which is almost to NMB and still manage to get down to Murrells Inlet at least twice. Its worth the drive.Lots of recs here about that area.

Snooky's in Little River is good. Its in a beautiful warefront setting and is a favorite spot for locals.

Great, thank for the suggestions, I will look into these. I forgot to mention that we will have two kids with us as well (ages 6 & 7).

Having kids doesn't matter...I can't think of but maybe 5 places on the whole grand strand that kids aren't fine.

Thai Season @ 1004 Hwy. 17 South in North Myrtle Beach. Easy to overlook because it's in a rundown strip mall, but the atmosphere inside is quite nice and the food is phenomenal. Very fresh. Entree prices range from $8.99 to $12.99 and, of course, there are many vegetarian options.
