Small kaseiki or vegetarian Japanese with mom on a Sunday

I'm looking for a Japanese restaurant to bring my mom to. She's 70 and eats light fare (no fried stuff). She also has a bad perception of Japanese food (sushi+tempura).

I thought of Kajitsu but it's closed on Sundays. Kyo Ya's tasting menu is too much food. I'm thinking Robataya or Torishin and order more vegetables than meat.

Thank you for your suggestions.

The vegetarian tasting menu at Brushstroke is very good and the atmosphere very nice.

You can order a la carte at Kyo Ya.
